Mindfulness programs for young people
We offer mental health courses and workshops for local schools and other youth work organisations in Brno, Czech Republic and the South Moravian region. Research shows a trend of deteriorating mental health (especially) among young people.
Just like our bodies, our minds need care. Especially in moments when we feel overwhelmed, all over the place, and the need to switch off. And particularly in the digital age, where we are exposed to a greater intensity of stimuli than our brains are designed to handle.
As science and thousands of years of practice show, appropriately designed mindfulness techniques are an effective way to take care of our busy minds, work and learn with full attention, and feel better in life.
Mindfulness is the ability to be present here and now and to notice our thoughts, feelings, and sensory perceptions with kindness and curiosity, without judgement. This allows us to experience more peace of mind, focus, clarity and manage stress and emotions better. Mindfulness is trained through selected meditation techniques and movement exercises.
We offer courses and workshops for local schools and other youth work organisations.
In our training, students, young people or educators learn how to:
– Mentally rest
– Feel more calm and perspective
– Not get lost in thoughts
– Be more focused while working or studying
– Better manage situations when we are overwhelmed
– Relax even in unpleasant situations
– Release tension in the body and support physical health
– Cultivate harmony in relation to oneself and others
– Strengthen connection with their peers
– Increase overall satisfaction and resilience
